Thank you for considering joining the Pachaug Outdoor Club!
The Pachaug Outdoor Club is involved with many different indoor/outdoor shooting sports, which include rifle and pistol teams, trap, archery teams and fishing just to name a few. We hold monthly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except June and July. Our meetings are held at the clubhouse.
Membership Information
Membership to POC is fairly straightforward. You must complete a membership application, along with a check or cash for the appropriate membership—single or family. You will need a sponsor; i.e. a current member of the POC in good standing. Any member can be your sponsor. You will be required to show up at a monthly meeting to be voted in. In addition, you will be required to contribute at least 8 hours the first year and 4 hours the second year of work at the POC. “Work” is defined as helping out at the monthly steak dinners, helping with any of the various work parties, etc., see the Job Board online or at the club for work parties.
All Memberships are based on January 1st-December 31st enrollment period each year.

You can mail your 2012 POC membership dues to:

Pachaug Outdoor Club
Attn: Membership Chairman
PO Box 235
Griswold, CT 06351
Dues are required to be paid in full, including last year’s work assessment fees, no later than the February meeting (Tuesday, 14 February 2012), either in person or by mailing a check to POC (checks must be received prior to the February meeting). Of note, a couple lines in our by-laws read: “Members whose dues have not been paid by the regular February meeting shall be dropped from the membership.” and “First year members who fail to complete the required work assessment by January 1st shall not be eligible for membership renewal.”
Many of you are beginning to wonder where your 2012 Pachaug Outdoor Club Dues INVOICE is. Rest assured, if you don’t pay at the monthly meeting, you will indeed receive the INVOICE by mail. The reason for the delay is that your volunteer Treasurer and Membership Committee Chairman are converting to an electronic invoicing system/platform----------not a simple task. With that said, I encourage as many of you as possible to pay your dues at tonight’s monthly meeting. I realize this is a last minute request, but anything you can do to accommodate will greatly be appreciated.

Please remember that there is a 10% CABARET TAX on any amount over $100 that, just like last year, needs to be added to your annual DUES as follows:

PLEASE MAKE CHECKS OUT TO “ POC” or “PACHAUG OUTDOOR CLUB”

If you are paying by CASH, exact change would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance for you understanding,

Dieter Bromkamp

POC Membership Chairman
